The Original kit that started it all! The Pioneer Gun Works short stroke kit. Now known as the “Standard Kit”, this is the kit that we have been manufacturing since 2004. Redesigned for a longer lasting performance, the standard short kit will shorten the lever throw of your Uberti rifle by 1.5”-1.75”. This performance kit is made from aircraft quality steel. With fully illustrated instructions that illuminates the necessity to require a gunsmith for installation.
*No longer a need to buy a new finger lever or permanently modify your bolt. The PGW Standard Kit requires a modest amount of installation in order to insure a proper fit to your rifle.
*Allowing for a night-and-day feel in contrast to the stock lever throw, the Standard Kit has been a favorite of many shooters just getting into the sport of cowboy action shooting. Designed to be every bit as compatible as your stock Uberti parts, you will notice the familiar design structure that will will work synergistically with your stock parts.
*NOTE* If you intend to use the Standard or the Super short stroke kits with your stock brass carrier, a minor adjustment to the brass carrier will be necessary. This modification will NOT effect the usage of the brass carrier in the event that you may wish to re-install the stock parts. The magazine follower replaces the factory orange plastic factory followers. Over time the cleaning solvents and everyday use will cause the plastic followers to crack and break. When this happens it will cause your magazine spring to stick inside the tube and not function. Stainless Steel - Fits All Calibers
These stainless steel mag springs prevent rust from building up in your lever action magazine tube. Over time the moisture will cause the factory metal spring to corrode and rust. When this happens it will prevent the spring from working freely to push the next round down the tube smoothly . These springs are shipped 26 inches long. When installing leave 3" sticking out of the factory mag tub and trim off the remaining amount of spring.

If your current shotgun bead is too small why change out the entire bead? We make beads that fit over the existing bead on your shotgun. They are offered in two sizes 7/32 and 1/4" and are made from solid brass. To get the correct size "mic" your existing bead size, then order the one that matches your current bead size. We offer them in three under bead sizes .125 , .155 and .177. When you receive your new sight just simply place it over your current bead, making sure your barrel is on a flat surface and tap the new sight on with a light mallet. Select corresponding sizes below.

The Pioneer Gun works action springs are made specifically to give you the lightest spring tension available for the lever and lifter arms action, while still reliably allowing the carrier movement and lever action to stay true. Machined from high grade steel, they are tapped to work flawlessly with your stock Uberti lifter and lever screws. Our hardened “action spring screws” are a great addition with this kit, as the stock Uberti screws have a tendency to be soft which can cause gouging.
The specially designed “spring arms”, rock up and down while riding the cam surfaces of the lifer arm and lever. We have utilized specially designed music wire to suffice for the spring tension in this kit, giving our Action Springs one of the most unique and simple designs available in a performance part.
*Action Spring kit will come with 4 tension spring rods.
*NOTE* Action spring screws do NOT come with the action spring kit and will have to be purchased separately!

The new drop in "No Fit No Adjustment" trigger system is our latest addition to the Sure Hit product line. Each Sure Hit product is proudly USA made in our state of the art machine shop. This trigger system comes set up with a match grade upper sear and lower trigger that is custom tuned for a crisp trigger pull. Each trigger system has a small rebound trigger spring built in to keep the trigger from moving while being rapidly fired. This along with the dehorned corners will help eliminate the dreaded 1873 trigger bite.

Please follow these steps to measure for the stock cover:
1. Measure the circumference of the base of the stock.
2. Four inches down from the base, measure the circumference again.
3. Six inches down from the base, measure the circumference again.
4. Trace around the base of the stock.
5. Measure the widest point of the width from both the top and bottom, as well as from side to side.
6. Along with these measurements, please provide a description of the stock, including the model of the firearm and the profile of the butt plate area (e.g., curved, flat, pad type).
10. Double check those measurements! Yep.. that’s 4 7/8” not 5 7/8”!!

Without the need to purchase a new finger lever or to perform any permanent adjustment to the bolt, our kit comes with fully illustrated instructions allowing the average shooter the ability to install this kit WITHOUT the need to send your rifle to a gunsmith.
*Redesigned to be stronger and smoother, we have added steel to the outside portion of the links and have CLOSED the channel. This eliminated the “mushrooming” that can happen to the old model kits at the end of the inside channels from the lever pin.
